So many people say “I want to clean out all the stuff I’ve been accumulating for 50 years so my kids aren’t burdened by it.” And this is the exact premise behind the self-help book Swedish Death Cleaning.

As much as we SAY we want to do this, MANY of us fall short. We lose steam. We become overwhelmed.

Help is on the way! Please join the Swedish Death Cleaning Club of Olympia Area Village, a support group for people with a lot of stuff. We are having our inaugural in-person pep rally and get-organized meeting on Wednesday September 17, at 3 pm, at the home of Tyra and Liz (5224 Cushman Rd NE). We may decide to have regular in-person support groups, or offer Zoom sessions to cheer each other on, get advice for where and how to distribute our treasures, and just in general celebrate every box and drawer we empty!
