Olympia’s Yashiro Japanese Garden, dedicated in 1990, will close permanently on June 1.  Let’s get together for a last visit to this beautiful garden before it closes! Spend time walking the garden’s paths and admiring the plantings, or enjoy sitting by the koi pond basking in the sun.  We’ll have a brief history of how this garden came to be before leaving for the Olympia Farmers Market to find lunch from one of the food vendors there.

We’ll gather at 11 AM, Thursday, May  14 – rain or shine!  Park in the free lot at 1010 Plum Street SE, Olympia 98501; the gate into the garden is next to the parking area.  There is no charge to visit the garden.
